Dr. Ye is an associate professor in Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, and a guest professor in Ghent University, Belgium. He is also a gust professor in Chinese Building Academy, Tongji University and Southeast University. He is associate editor of Journal of Materials and Structures and editorial advisory board of Journal of Cement and Concrete Research He is the author/co-author about 220 journal papers and conference contributions, editor/co-editor of 6 conference proceedings
